PLYMOUTH: Plymouth businessman and member of the Plymouth County Charter Study Commission, Christopher Sheldon, announced on Tuesday, March 20th that he will seek to become the first congressman in the newly formed Massachusetts 9th Congressional District. Mr. Sheldon was introduced at his campaign kickoff event by Plymouth County Commisioner and former Navy SEAL Anthony O'Brien, Sr. before a capacity crowd at the Governor John Carver Inn & Spa in his hometown of Plymouth. Also speaking on behalf of Mr. Sheldon were State Representatives David Vieira of Falmouth and Vincent deMacedo of Plymouth.

The campaign's kick-off event, held at the John Carver Inn in Plymouth on Tuesday night, proved to be an enormous success. Along with a number of residents in the district, there was a significant amount of support from sitting state office-holders, former office-holders, and candidates for local offices.
